Yet another move!

So today I'm packing up my DC apartment (not that there's much to pack) and preparing for my cross country road trip back to Texas.  It's a bittersweet move.  But those of you, who KNOW me, know that I am a firm believer of "Everything happens for a reason." 

I am a little unsure of the direction I truly want to go in my life at this complicated crossroad where I find myself.  What I am sure of is that I'm not in my 20's anymore.  This packing, moving, and driving cross country is wearing me out! 

Wish me Godspeed on my journey back.  And try to act surprised if you hear some time down the road that I'm hitting the highway AGAIN.  Oh, and don’t judge me, you don’t know my plight!  ( :

Good Deeds

I've been back in Houston a week now, and I'm reminded of two things; there are people who genuinely care about me and those who allege they care.  Either way, I'm okay.  After all, life is all about lessons and change. 

Some people choose to stay in a pothole, maintaining the same mundane behavior and WISHing their lives were different.  I evoke change...good or bad, I live with my choices.

Today I  watched Tyler Perry’s new movie, "Good Deeds" and it reminded me that my life should not be lived for others (no matter who the "others" may be).  My life is MY life.  And I have lived it in its entirety to please and appease everyone else.  I too have done my "Good Deeds" and now is my time! 

I'm back

I've decided to make time for the thing that I love to do more than anything else in the world--writing.

I look forward to starting my blog as another means of sharing my talent with the world.  My hope is that I may encourage someone with my words and life experiences.
